EigenLayer (EIGEN), the largest Ethereum restaking platform, is expanding its offerings by introducing new restaking options for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) holders. On November 4, EigenLayer announced improved yield options for wrapped Bitcoin and distributed payouts from P2P.org, a well-known node operator on the platform.
The ARPA Network, a protocol that uses the EigenLayer infrastructure, will now allow users to earn rewards in uniBTC. The protocol states that by supporting uniBTC, ARPA aims to increase liquidity for Bitcoin holders by offering new incentives for those participating in the restaking ecosystem and expanding liquidity options.
On the same day, P2P.org, the main validator of EigenLayer, distributed $2.2 million in ETH as a reward to restakers. As the largest operator of EigenLayer, P2P.org manages over $540 million in collateral, which it uses to validate and secure various decentralized applications. P2P.org plays a key role in the platform’s expanding restaking ecosystem and competes with other well-known operators such as Figment, Blockdaemon, and Ankr.
