Dr. Navin Ramachandran Joins Supervisory Board
Dr. Navin Ramachandran, a key member of the IOTA Foundation since 2016, is joining the Foundation’s Supervisory Board, which is responsible for the general oversight and guidance of the IOTA Foundation. Previously a member of the Board of Directors, Navin is a practicing medical doctor and healthcare researcher and was previously an advisor to the UK’s All-Party Parliamentary Group on Blockchain, uniquely positioning him to contribute valuable insights to the board’s deliberations.
In his new role, Navin joins fellow Supervisory Board members Professor Serguei Popov, a research mathematician and one of the co-founders of the IOTA Foundation, and Clinton Walker, General Counsel at Barclays Bank Delaware.
Current Board of Directors Composition
With Navin’s transition, the Board of Directors now consists of Dr. Anja Radan, responsible for Legal and Regulatory Affairs; Jan Misselwitz, responsible for Finance & People, and Luca Moser, responsible for Research & Development. The Board is chaired by Dominik Schiener, Co-Founder of the IOTA Foundation.
New Director of Technology Adoption: Dr. Christoph Strnadl
In another major leadership announcement, we’re pleased to welcome Dr. Christoph Strnadl as the IOTA Foundation’s new Director of Technology Adoption. Dr. Strnadl brings over three decades of expertise in IT consulting and management with a focus on leveraging technology for business benefits, coupled with a background in Theoretical Physics. Christoph’s role at the IOTA Foundation is pivotal in driving technology adoption initiatives within the business-to-business (B2B) and corporate domain, encompassing projects like the tokenization of physical assets such as digital product passports, digital identity frameworks and their evolution into trust infrastructures for data spaces and digital ecosystems, the Trade Logistics Information Pipeline (TLIP), supply-chain automation, sustainability topics, and circular economy-related initiatives.
Formation of the Technology Adoption Department
Establishing the Technology Adoption Department signifies a pivotal moment in the Foundation’s evolution, aligning with its mission to drive real-world applications of IOTA technology. It is the newest department to be formed within the IOTA Foundation. Other departments are Ecosystem (led by Susanne Krone), Finance & People (Jan Misselwitz), Research & Development (Luca Moser), Legal and Regulatory Affairs (Anja Raden), and Communications (Gunnar Stenzel).
