Hedera, through the HBAR Foundation, has signed a partnership with the Digital Euro Association (DEA) to stimulate innovation in the industry. The HBAR Foundation is the primary body responsible for the development of the Hedera protocol. Its alliance with DEA, a think tank interested in developing digital payments, will go a long way in bolstering its profile in the industry.

As revealed, the partnership was cemented by a mutual desire for innovation around digital payments, stablecoins and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs). As an association, DEA thrives with numerous industry partners who contribute to its growth. The partnership between DEA and the HBAR Foundation will bring together the best minds to work on developing the blockchain ecosystem. Hedera already boasts cutting-edge technology that allows assets to be transferred with fees in “fractions of a cent.”

The exact ways in which the HBAR Foundation will contribute to the development of the DEA remain unclear at this time. However, DEA members can learn how the HBAR Foundation was able to design Hedera as a carbon-neutral protocol while solving the trilemma of speed, low cost, and decentralization.
