The latest addition to the Shibarium ecosystem will unlock .shib domains and bring blockchain-based digital identity to the SHIB community.
Shibarium ID, a startup building a dedicated platform for .shib domain names, has announced it will launch as soon as next month.
The platform will integrate with Shiba Inu’s newly launched Shibarium network, becoming one of the first Web3 domain trading platforms to support the layer-2 solution.
Shibarium ID, according to its profile, is backed by Proof of Human, a Wyoming-based venture capital company. Proof of Human focuses on investing in digital identity startups, building a “Sybil-proof experience across all digital platforms.”

Shibarium ID Platform Features
Based on a sneak peek released by Shibarium ID, the platform will allow users to register, renew, manage .shib domain listing, review offers, and accept bids. The platform also seems to offer a referral program for users to earn additional rewards.
Although Shibarium ID, by its brand name, is focused on Shiba Inu’s ecosystem, the platform further plans to support Web3 domains on the Ethereum (.eth), BNB Chain (.bnb), and Arbitrum (.arb) networks. Shibarium ID eventually hopes that its multi-chain approach, albeit with Shibarium at the forefront, will allow it to build a “universal name service network.”
Shibarium ID has also pledged to give back to the Shibarium ecosystem. Aside from paying out referral fees in BONE tokens, the platform will dedicate a portion of the fees from each domain sale to SHIB-related initiatives. This would include commitments to SHIB Burns, Doggy DAO, and other non-profit donations.
Meanwhile, Shibarium ID’s decision to build for the SHIB community means Shibarium users have one more decentralized app to use on the newly launched network. In a similar development, The Crypto Basic also reported the impending release of the Shiba Hub app, designed to complement existing Shiba Inu offerings.
