The Tezos Foundation (TF), a not-for-profit organization working on promoting Tezos (XTZ) digital currency, has said it is willing to provide funding for some Ethereum Foundation’s projects that are left untouched after it learned that the organization is not ready to finance new projects again.
Nina Breznik, one of those working on several Ethereum projects, said Ethereum Foundation (ET) is planning to stop funding most of its internal teams starting from 2020.
Nina, whose team claimed to be part of Ethereum Foundation for 3 years, has been working on remix in the past 2 years and, recently on PlayProject, were also part of those laid off by the organization.
The programmer said ET decided to stop funding the youngest projects first. She said from December 1, the foundation stopped funding their projects and other projects’ fundings are to be reduced come 2020.
Nina’s team of 3 are building a super lightweight embeddable solidity editor. They also built a workshop module with a decentralized skill tree which embeds the editor.
Nina’s team has also started a search engine for solidity source code. For the past 5 years, the team has been volunteering and also working on onboarding new developers into coding, especially into javascript and p2p world.
The team says it runs meetups and organize workshops and code camps in Berlin, Taipei and Lagos.
At the moment, the team has no fund to go further after Ethereum Foundation’s decision to stop funding their projects.

While it may appear Ethereum Foundation is going bankrupt, three years back, Vitalik Buterin said the foundation has approximately 640 Bitcoin, $150,000 fiat and 2.5 million ETH. However, it is not clear if the foundation still has anything close to that.
Tezos Foundation Ready to Help
Responding to the messages shared by Nina on Twitter, Ryan Lackey, Tezos Foundation CSO and Council Member, said organization is ready to finance any of Ethereum Foundation projects in a cross-blockchain way.
“If any EF funded teams are looking to continue working on similar things in a cross-blockchain way, Tezos Foundation would potentially be interested in providing funding,” Ryan said.
