EOS has received the approval of a Japanese government agency that evaluates the country's cryptocurrency exchanges and assets. The regulator, known as the JVCEA, has granted pre-approval to EOS. Cryptocurrency can now be offered to users on Japanese crypto exchanges paired with the Japanese Yen. The number of cryptocurrencies that have managed to achieve this is limited. At the moment, Bitcoin, Ethereum and Monacoin are among the cryptocurrencies that have received similar permissions.

The JVCEA and the FSA are the two key institutions responsible for regulating cryptocurrencies within the country. EOS said that this is a significant step forward. In mid-September, EOS will be available for trading on BitTrade, one of Japan's largest cryptocurrency exchanges.

On the back of news from Japan, the price of EOS has risen by 9% over the past 24 hours. Although EOS hit $0.63, it is far from its all-time high. However, EOS continues to inspire investors with its all-time high above $20.
