Giant Cryptocurrency Whale Keeps Buying Into His Portfolio As Altcoins Fall: Accumulated Throughout August

The whale Machi Big Brother, which has made a name for itself with its previous crypto purchases, continues to add tokens during the decline.

According to Etherscan data, Machi Big Brother spent 135 $ETH (approximately $222,000) on August 27, 2023 and purchased 154,570 ApeCoin ($APE) tokens. This was the whale's fourth purchase of $APE in August, and its total accumulation totaled 3.13 million $APE tokens at an average price of $1.73 per token.

The $APE price is trading at $1.42 at the time of this writing.

However, the whale in question has staked wallet tokens, so it's hard to estimate how much it's actually lost so far.

In addition, a few days ago, a large cryptocurrency whale sold all its $APE tokens at a loss. The wallet, which received 93,700 $APE tokens via airdrop, additionally purchased 96,276 APEs on May 1, 2022, spending 2 million dollars in $ETH at a price level of 21 dollars. Whale sold all of its tokens at $1.51.
