With its eight-year carbon removal agreement with Climeworks, Crypto.com recently made an important step against climate change. As per reports, CRO rose on Monday after knowing of the agreement. Due to ongoing economic difficulties and unplanned business events, Crypto.com revealed last week that it will be reducing its global workforce by about 20%. This is Crypto.com’s second significant layoff since mid-2022 when it laid off about 260 workers or nearly 5% of its staff.

The cryptocurrency exchange announced a smaller 5% staff layoff in June of last year, which resulted in the loss of 260 employees. These layoffs, according to the CEO, helped the exchange to overcome the crypto winter.
