Litecoin Insider John Kim Maps Road to Crypto Adoption, Delivers Word of Caution to Industry Leaders

In a new interview, John Kim from the Litecoin Foundation explains why he believes the fourth largest cryptocurrency by market cap has an edge on the crypto competition.

Kim told BloxLiveTV that leaders at the Foundation and the community as a whole are focused on mainstream adoption and building strategic relationships.

“We’re not like any other coins. We’re probably the most liquid coin, outside of Bitcoin. We don’t have to focus on anything else right now but adoption. So how can you beat a team that only has one goal in mind?”

Kim says he’s involved in a number of Litecoin projects with new developments to be revealed in the coming “weeks, maybe months.” In addition to various projects that are under wraps, the recent Litecoin integration on SPEDN, an app that makes it easier to store, manage and spend LTC and several other digital assets, exposes millions of shoppers at thousands of stores across the US to cryptocurrency as a payment option.

Kim says the partnership is well positioned to power mainstream adoption because the developers have spent time addressing and solving critical issues that have prevented everyday people from using crypto: namely, ease of use. The Litecoin enthusiast maps out grassroots efforts to get shoppers and consumers to use Litecoin in their daily lives.

According to Kim,

“The world does not need more information. They need a demonstration.”

Traveling throughout Asia through July 23rd, Kim says his “ignite the fire” initiative is a meet-and-greet tour designed to interact with people to generate more interest in using LTC. His tour, backed by cryptocurrency exchange OKEx and the digital asset travel platform Travala, among other companies in the industry, is designed to make the brand a household name.

“We’re going from Taipei to Hong Kong. We’re going to Malaysia. We’re going to the Philippines. We’re going to Vietnam. And we’re just going to go and ignite the fire and build the Litecoin community and make Litecoin famous.”

Kim also relayed a recent encounter between Litecoin creator Charlie Lee and Bitcoin basher Nouriel Roubini, who is currently in a war of words with BitMEX CEO Arthur Hayes.

Kim says he and Lee were at an event when Lee saw Roubini.

“You know how he is, Nouriel. He’s very intense. And he just kept talking the whole time about how everything is a scam, fraud. And blockchain – it’ll never work – and Bitcoin is too slow. His whole spiel. And Charlie, he’s a man of few words. He just kind of sat there and just nodded his head and just listened to him.

Just like everyone else who is intense and only cares about what they believe in, he said everything in a not-so-pleasant way, and he walked off and as he was walking off, Charlie looked at him and said, ‘We will see.’ And that was the end of the conversation. I thought it was so cool. Charlie just sat there and listened to him, and his last few words were so powerful. Because I know: when Charlie says something.”

In a Monday message, Kim cautions crypto industry players and critics alike, addressing the divisive attacks used to rip apart enemies and detractors as cryptocurrencies continue to threaten the establishment and as various crypto teams feud amongst themselves.

“In mixed martial arts you have to know how to box, kickbox, wrestle and jiu jitsu. So if a boxer walks in and thinks he’s the best fighter in the room, he may win a boxing sparring match, but he’s going to learn real quick the next day in the wrestling workout that he’s going to be outclassed. And the next day, he’ll probably be tapping out within 20 to 30 seconds.”

“You’re only an expert in your field because you put in the time, the energy and the effort. But there are other people in other fields that are doing the same exact thing that you are. So when you go into their field, you’re not such an expert…

If I’m the dumbest guy in the room, I can be a sponge and I can glean and learn from other people in the room that are better than me in different areas in life. And if you get that, you don’t break down or tear down others. You learn to build them up or encourage their skill set. There are so many people in crypto and life in general who believe they’re brilliant. They can never be wrong and everybody else is so stupid. You can tell because it’s not in what they say but the spirit behind how they say it. They put other people down.

I represent Litecoin and I won’t represent any other coin but I will help and represent other communities that have the same passion as I do. So guys, let’s build together. Be humble or you’ll be made humble sooner or later. Peace.”

What I learned from doing Mixed Martial Arts.

The world is big and you have a limited size brain, you don't know it all so learn to build others instead of tearing them down.
