Microsoft’s blockchain ventures could catapult its stock price - HighTower Advisors

30 January 2018 21:00, UTC

Microsoft is about to report on it earnings gained during this financial quarter very soon, and the trader from HighTower Advisors suggests that the company’s well-being has been ensured by its recent blockchain projects, which, unlike many current initial coin offerings dedicated to blockchain, are not intended to fool anyone.

The blockchain projects involving Microsoft differ from the majority in another regard: they are much more long-term and involve other serious companies. For example, Microsoft cooperates with the United States government in the sphere of sensitive data storage with the use of blockchain, and with Maersk in maritime shipping. Its CEO even stated last year that the company worked in the field of distributed registers before it became mainstream thanks to Bitcoin.

This all means that Michael Bapis, this trader from HighTower, may be right in this regard: Microsoft found itself as one of the world pioneers in serious blockchain platforms, and we have already seen what happens when a humble tea company simply changes its name into Long Blockchain.
