Hashchain acquires Node40 to develop cryptocurrency tax software together

31 January 2018 21:00, UTC

Hashchain, a corporation in Canada, has decided to acquire a promising firm called Node40 due to the very prospective software Node40 is currently developing. This program might help the users of major cryptocurrency exchanges to efficiently compose tax reports, something many traders prefer not to bother with.

The taxation of cryptocurrency traders is indeed a problem for the Internal Revenue Service in the United States. This organization has demanded the personal data of thousands of Coinbase exchange users in court - and they succeeded in the end. The future with non-taxed cryptocurrency trades seems to be quite an unrealistic scenario.

The news means that a good startup company should possess a concept understandable and attractive enough for investors in order to prosper. However, one can also remember an example of acquisition when a seemingly naive idea became a good one: when Nvidia bought AGEIA, its PhysX separate chips designed for better physics in computer games were abandoned, but the video cards of Nvidia now have integrated PhysX support.
