Coinbase to reboot GDAX

24 May 2018 21:00, UTC

Coinbase is going to seriously change GDAX, including the platform brand. The new exchange will be called Coinbase Pro and, as stated by the company, will have a more intuitive interface as well as swifter responsiveness.

GDAX has been one of the cornerstones of Coinbase as an enterprise, its reboot can lead to the initial confusion of those who didn’t hear about it until last minute. As seen from the messages online, this major upgrade will not affect the stored funds.

Coinbase has increased its activity in comparison to the last year. Its programming department is clearly not sitting still and the management responsible for mergers and acquisitions is also not wasting time: the latest reports tell about the exchange called Paradex that is now the part of this enterprise. According to economic observers, some beneficial features of Paradex will be implemented to the engine of Coinbase Pro.

The actual effect of the reboot is yet to be seen, one of the game-changing additions might become the support of ERC20 tokens trade - something which the acquired Paradex allowed to do.
