Cardano and COTI Take New Steps Towards the Introduction of Crypto Payments

04 November 2019 10:38, UTC

The Cardano network takes a new step towards the massive introduction of cryptocurrencies — with the help of a new update of its wallet and the partnership with COTI, an enterprise-level blockchain protocol.

Users will be able to make daily purchases on the Internet using Cardano's native Ada cryptocurrency. COTI provides cryptocurrency payments for merchants, decentralized applications such as online games, as well as for stablecoin issuers.

Cardano recently announced a new “Pay with Ada” platform, which is developed for merchants. In cooperation with COTI, the platform will allow merchants to accept Ada payments with almost instant settlement into 35 fiat currencies — directly to the accounts of traders’ banks. To integrate the payment method, sellers will be able to add an adaPay web button or a QR-based system at points of sales. The solution will also allow sellers to manage all their transactions in real time.

COTI has begun accepting email applications from companies that want to accept Ada as a payment method. The platform is due to be launched this month.
