Bloomberg terminals meet Huobi 10 Index

20 June 2018 21:00, UTC

Bloomberg trading terminals used by professional investors and assets managers see a new update connected with the crypto market. Note that these terminals do not conduct trades, they simply provide the necessary recent information.

Huobi 10 Index created by the eponymous Singaporean exchange is made from ten coins listed on the exchange. The addition to these terminals has been directly confirmed by the exchange representatives in a special announcement cited by the press today (21 June 2018).

UPDATE: Huobi's representatives have contacted Bitnewstoday and told that CoinDesk authors had made a serious mistake - Huobi did not announce the information provided above.

Previously in May this year, Bloomberg decided to add the Galaxy Crypto Index directly connected with Michael Novogratz and Galaxy Digital.

As noted by Bloomberg index manager Alan Campbell back then, that addition reflected the growing interest of the client base towards the crypto market - this is also a likely explanation of the newest upgrade.

There was a time when Bloomberg terminals had only Bitcoin as a single cryptocurrency listed on indexes. In December last year, Ethereum, Litecoin and Ripple have been added. The list is likely to expand in the following years, providing an indirect legitimization of the concept of digital currencies.
