Charles Munger, billionaire investor: Bitcoin is a noxious poison
Charles Munger, one of the top investors of the financial world close to Warren Buffett, shares the view of Berkshire Hathaway head and does not appreciate Bitcoin as well. In his recent statement on the matter, he called disgusting how people get attracted to this “noxious poison” and called for strict regulation of the cryptocurrency world.
The president of the European Central Bank and the Monetary Authority of Singapore together with Chechen Muslim leaders would all disagree with this position. The ECB does not think it’s their responsibility to regulate Bitcoin, while the government of Singapore and Salah-Hadji Mezhiev (Mufti in Chechen Republic, Russian Federation) both believe it is to early to say anything categorical about Bitcoin. This makes Charles Munger even more conservative than some religious figures.
The regulations of some parameters of the cryptocurrency market might increase in the future, as most key G20 participants agree that it would be useful to discuss this new sphere at the upcoming summit of this international organization.
