US Congress hearings on ICOs and crypto went satisfactorily

14 March 2018 21:00, UTC

The meeting of the delegates from the crypto world and United States congressmen has happened, and it had a relatively peaceful, educational atmosphere, exactly as one of the sources of the digital currency media previously predicted.

The press highlights Brad Sherman, one of the officials present on the meeting. He asked if the market really worth it if one puts all crime out of it and about seigniorage - this fiat market term means the economic cost of digital currency mining.

In turn, people familiar with the cryptocurrency market including representatives of Coinbase and Coin Center as well as several legal experts have called for prudent regulation of the market. One of the lawyers stressed that the current legislation is not solving all market issues and therefore “premature”.

The whole meeting can be characterized as part of the bigger ongoing process of increasing ties between the American authorities and American cryptocurrency market. This process is important due to the fact that many other countries might choose to follow in the United States’ footsteps. The U.S. domestic crypto regulation can influence the world regulation later.
