Twitter confirms some ICOs ad prohibition
Twitter company representatives confirm the previous rumors which indicated that cryptocurrency-related ads will no longer be welcome on this platform. The major difference between the initial rumors and what the managers said, however, is that the official statements mention cases when ads will actually remain in place.
As noted by some financial media outlets, the policy of Twitter moderators might be selective in favor of Square service and Cash, a popular mobile app. Both are connected to Twitter.
This is why today’s titles about Twitter prohibiting all digital currency advertisement materials are a little misleading. This company, unlike Google, Instagram and Facebook, is trying not to act rashly.
Interestingly enough, while being suspicious about digital currency and ICOs ads, leader of Twitter Jack Dorsey has previously theoreticized about Bitcoin’s bright financial future. He thinks that this cryptocurrency would become a new world currency in 10 years, although right now it’s not without disadvantages.
Current market of digital currency advertisement is indeed filled with strange offerings, often with clickbait titles and false promises.
