Sindri Thor Stefansson under arrest again

The arrogant suspect in the theft of six hundred mining rigs has been arrested in the Netherlands after his escape from prison in Sogni, Iceland. The police caught him in the centre of Amsterdam, and the news have already been confirmed by Ólafur Helgi Kjartansson, one of the leaders of Iceland police whose responsibility was to ensure that Sindri Thor Stefansson gets back to prison. He awaits extradition to the country he has escaped from by using the same plane its Prime Minister boarded, luckily, unbeknownst to each other.

As a reminder, Stefansson has successfully escaped from the correctional facility this spring through an open window. He explained his motive by saying that the police deprived him of freedom unlawfully and place him in a solitary confinement after failing to get him to say what they wanted. To do so, he sent a letter to one the Iceland newspapers. This letter has not been called fake by anyone connected with the story ever since and the police has indirectly confirmed its authenticity.

The initial apprehension was due to the suspicions of the law enforcers about Sindri Thor Stefansson’s involvement in the biggest crime connected with mining rigs Iceland has seen by far — reports suggest that 600 mining rigs, special computers to mine new cryptocurrency units, have been stolen simultaneously.
