OneCoin office searched by Bulgarian police

Bulgarian police has raided the office of OneCoin, an infamous project which disguised as cryptocurrency while being a Ponzi scheme in reality. According to the local prosecutor’s office, the Europol representatives were also taking part in the investigation of this local office business activities.

Project OneCoin since its advent posed as a cryptocurrency the developers of which promised high returns, but in reality it has turned out to be nothing more than a Ponzi scheme. The European authorities previously made steps towards its full shutdown: for example, Italian authorities called this enterprise a pyramid in summer 2017. Hungary and some other European countries either banned or sued OneCoin. Even Indian authorities joined the group of states the authorities of which have either banned, sued or decided to hunt down the founders of this financial organization.

England, Ireland, Italy, the United States, Canada, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia - these are the countries currently investigating OneCoin’s shady business, the Bulgarian prosecutor’s office lists.
