LinkedIn now bans crypto ads too
LinkedIn is now also banning cryptocurrency-related advertisement, reports from the media and other social media suggest.
The origin of the news is the spokesman of the company. Microsoft (owns the platform) at the press time allows cryptocurrency-related advertisement on its other platforms.
The prohibition of advertisement of cryptocurrency activities and ICOs is harmful for the market on any platform due to the size of this sphere - its capitalization is still not comparable to traditional markets. This is why three major cryptocurrency associations from China, Russia and South Korea plan to sue Facebook and Google for alleged market manipulation, although the companies might have blocked this kind of ads due to the high level of questionable schemes promoted in this area.
In this case with LinkedIn, it will now be harder for cryptocurrency startups to find new contacts, although even these days when privacy is rapidly fading away no one prohibits to directly contact investors of interest on the matter of cryptocurrency projects, especially if they are well-coordinated with the corresponding regulators.
