India’s government has prepared the report on cryptocurrency state regulation
The Ministry of Finance of India has presented the governmental report concerning various proposals on cryptocurrency regulation, CoinDesk reports.
The report has not been published yet in full, although some rumors suggest that one group of the researchers who composed the report maintains a restrictive approach, and another group suggests to tax cryptocurrency operations.
The report is the product of work done by the interdepartmental group created in April 2017 to research what is the current status of cryptocurrencies in the state and to develop adequate regulatory legal acts.
The cryptocurrency and cryptocurrency regulation issues has been also studied by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), which looked into blockchain technologies to draw a clear conclusion whether or not they are able to self-regulate.
No publish date of the Finance Ministry report has yet been announced.
