Counter-fraud ICO BlockBroker is a fraud itself

07 June 2018 21:00, UTC

An ICO called BlockBroker is a fraud that manipulated with its tokens based on standard ERC20, as reported by several cryptocurrency-themed media outlets.

Notably, this project claimed that it aimed to prevent cryptocurrency frauds, which was likely a disguise so that nobody would suspect a team with noble goals in playing dirty.

One may say that they themselves have inflicted the premature end upon them. One of the members of the community has questioned the legitimacy of the token transfer to EtherDelta made before the actual end of the ICO. After this message, he was blocked by the project on Twitter which only increased the suspicions. Even before that, some forums speculated about the fake photo of “John Jacobs” who apparently did not exist at all.

The condition of the website of BlockBroker is far from working, and the scam has abruptly ended its social media promotional campaign.

In a similar occasion, one of the leaders of ICO called CentraTech has never even existed - he was a fictitious character made by three actual managers of the fraud scheme. While Centra Tech leaders have been apprehended, nobody knows if this is going to happen to BlockBroker scammers in any foreseeable future.
