The Zilliqa team conducted final testing before launching the mainnetk to ensure a high level of blockchain security maintenance. They also considered all possible solutions for network scaling.

To ensure the reliability of the core Zilliqa protocol code, the team hired auditors for several rounds of security checks. A team of auditors responsible for checking cryptography and digital security includes the Beijing Zhenyuan Cybersecurity Co. Ltd, Cure53, Kudelski Group and NCC Group. Also, previously Zilliqa launched a private security bug bounty program in November 2018. In February 2019, this program will appear on the Bugcrowd platform.

According to the feedback received from the miners, the Zilliqa team also changed the reward mechanism to make payouts more even and thus encourage new nodes to join the network.

After the launch of the mainnet, the first six months of 2019 will become the window of swapping ERC-20 Zilliqa tokens for mainnet tokens. During January, Zilliqa cryptocurrency was a subject to high volatility due to the above-mentioned changes.
