What awaits Litecoin in 2018? Surprise, says Charlie Lee

20 December 2017 21:00, UTC

Creator of Litecoin Charlie Lee, who recently sold all his litecoins in order not to receive accusations in verbal market manipulation, decided to tell about the plans of Litecoin development team for 2018. As his tweet on this issue tells, there’s going to be a merchant processor, popular online wallet integration, an integration with goods trading platform and “one huge unexpected surprise”.

Litecoin finishes this year with a bang: its prices increased over 5000 percent this year. Those who invested in it during the $20 values are optimistic like never before, judging by the atmosphere in social media. The measures Charlie Lee and his team plan to introduce next year will almost certainly cement the success of this year.

There is no certainty in what this big surprise might be: some suspect Litecoin futures, but Finance Magnates already reported on corresponding rumors and this is not going to be a really huge surprise. Some think a big marketplace like Amazon or Alibaba will introduce Litecoin payments, but it would be more natural to do so with Bitcoin first, as it is more capitalized and legitimized by now. It’s better to take a wait-and-see approach instead of wasting time in speculations which all might prove untrue.
