Warren Buffett: Cryptocurrencies Have No Value

A $4.6 million charity dinner was not enough to turn the world's largest investor, Warren BUFFETT, into a crypto enthusiast. In 2018, the chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway compared Bitcoin to rat poison. Three years later, he did not change his skepticism about cryptocurrency. Warren Buffett is convinced that cryptocurrencies as assets have no value and do not produce anything meaningful. In an interview with CNBC, Buffett claimed:

“I don’t have any bitcoin. I don’t own any cryptocurrency, I never will … You can’t do anything with it except sell it to somebody else.”

It is worth noting that Buffett is not alone in his criticism. Prominent economists Nuriel Roubini and Robert Schiller, business tycoon Bill Gates, investor Howard Marx and financier Ray Dalio are among those who hesitate in the legitimacy of cryptocurrency as a valuable asset.

The meeting was attended by famous crypto giants such as Litecoin founder Charlie Lee, eToro CEO Yoni Assia, Huobi CFO Chris Lee and head of the Binance Charity Fund Helen Hai. Crypto enthusiasts saw the charity dinner as a milestone and hoped for the potential support of a well-known investor. Justin SUN said that a $4.6 million charity dinner is a fee for the invaluable advice received that will be aimed at improving the TRON ecosystem, as well as developing business relationships in the blockchain industry.
