Visa Launches Crypto Team, Recruits Product Managers

It seems that Visa international payment system is eager to start a new division which is aimed at dealing with cryptocurrencies. The corporation recently published an announcement concerning manager recruitment. The person will be responsible for executing the company's strategy for developing a cryptocurrency ecosystem; the project is called Visa Crypto Team.

The description of the position contains the following requirements for applicants, such as:

• a detailed understanding of blockchain technology, permissionless blockchains in particular;
• understanding existing payment systems on the market;
• knowledge of cryptography is a plus.

Visa corporation considers candidates with work experience from 4 to 7 years, three of which must be in the field of FinTech or retail payments. It is assumed that the product manager of Visa Crypto Team will be engaged in the development and implementation of new technologies. This unit reports to the Visa FinTech Product group, which is located in the Palo Alto office.

These are not the first steps of the corporation towards the blockchain and cryptocurrencies. A month ago, Visa announced the expansion of their FinTech fast-track program in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Earlier, the corporation helped Ripple partners, InstaRem, and signed a deal with Earthport.
