The University of Zurich announced that they have added Cardano to the Deep Blockchain Dive 2021 curriculum. The course will be taught to students enrolled in the UZH Blockchain Center modules and aims to teach students several aspects of blockchain technology. The university has invited several talented lecturers to teach the course, including members of the Tezos Foundation and IOST. The CEO of Cardano will also be a guest speaker on this course.

This step demonstrates that new blockchain space technologies are rapidly being adopted by leading educational institutions as they see the long-term potential of providing students with relevant knowledge and experience at an early stage. There are already several major universities in the world that offer students courses on blockchain, such as MIT, Cornell University and Harvard University.

It is also a great sign for the Cardano ecosystem as a whole, as it shows that institutions are showing interest and seeing it as a serious contender on a scale that goes beyond personal use. The fact that Cardano as a technology is taught at a deep level in renowned universities could legitimize its place in the blockchain world.
