The power couple that invested in Bitcoin in 2013 to donate revenue to cancer research

As the 20,000-dollar price of Bitcoin looms on the horizon, more and more outlets start to post news about cryptocurrency. More and more early investors, who considered Bitcoin risky and almost certainly did not expect such a big rise over this year, start to remember about their wallets which, so to speak, were covered in dust all this time.

Halle Tecco and Jeff Hammerbacher invested in Grayscale, an investment trust established for accredited investors to have a share in Bitcoin, and remembered about this only after mass boom of reports in the media about the current price of Bitcoin. After finding their assets safe, sound and bigger, they decided to use them to finance cancer hospital. They hope their deed will become an example for other investors.

Other notable investors who benefited greatly on Bitcoin investments (but, alas, were not as generous) are: the Winklevoss twins who recently made a fortune of 1 billion dollars solely on Bitcoin investments, Pavel Durov, creator of the Russian VK social media and the popular Telegram messenger with good privacy measures.
