The number of Bitcoin ATMs on the planet is rising even further
The number of Bitcoin ATMs in the world has reached 7% during June. The biggest growth has been detected in the United States, Canada and Austria, as the Bitcoin.com portal reports.
Of 91 new Bitcoin ATMs in the world that were installed in June, 55 are situated in the USA. The major operators of Bitcoin ATMs in this country are: Coinsource, who installed 9 new terminals in the big cities of Florida; Bitstop and Rockitcoin, who installed 8 and 5 new Bitcoin ATMs, respectively.
The number of new cryptocurrency ATMs in Canada has grown to 9.2%. During June, this country saw the installment of 15 new ATMs, 60% of which are 9 Instacoin-operated terminals, mostly in Toronto.
Twelve new Bitcoin ATMs have been installed in Austria during June, the growth of their number made 46%. 11 out of 12 newly opened cryptocurrency terminals are operated by the Austrian Cointed e-commerce service.
Additionally, the very first Bitcoin ATM has been installed in Norway; Taiwan and the Dominican Republic got plus two ATMs each – now Taiwan has 3 Bitcoin ATMs and the Dominican Republic has 5.
The world has seen 29 Bitcoin ATMs suspending their work in June, and the only countries who lost Bitcoin ATMs were Jamaica and South Africa.
