Steve Wozniak praises blockchain, while others investigate its possibilities
Steve Wozniak, who co-founded Apple with Steve Jobs and was responsible for making Apple I, the first ever Apple computer, has recently visited Russia and held a speech in the Moscow State University. Among other themes in the lecture, he mentioned the blockchain and told he is fond of the technology, as it eliminates unnecessary bureaucracy and improves horizontal connections.
The banks of the world continue to develop blockchains for their needs, and, knowing they cannot do this alone, join various blockchain consortiums. The latest example here is the news about BNP Paribas, HSBC and ING banks cooperating with R3 and Finastra – the fintech companies. These three banks are only the most known in the larger group of financial institutions that agreed to cooperate with the aforementioned technological developers.
Oracle, the company that has always been interested in digital innovations, also continues to increase its presence in the blockchain sphere. While already having advanced cloud technologies and selling various products based on them, this corporation now considers combining blockchain technologies with cloud solutions.
Interest in the blockchain does not seem to fade, and this is why many different events connected to this matter are being held. For example, in Munich, The Blockchain Academy conference has just started. It appears that B3 (Blockchain Business Board), the organizer of the conference is not affiliated with any major digital corporation.
