Stellar (XLM) Is Rebranding. What Happens To The Price?

12 March 2019 08:09, UTC

Stellar continues to work on identification, this time deciding to change the corporate identity completely, as it was reported in the Medium blog of the project. This activity corresponds to the roadmap of the project for 2019, which also contains a complete update of stellar.org.

Kurppa Hosk design company was involved in working on the visual identity of the brand. According to the blog post, the Stellar project needed more design flexibility:

“Could you see a cartoon rocket ship in use at some central bank or in a press release from a national monetary authority? We couldn’t either.”

Visual project guidelines were developed, which followed several important principles for the new logo:

  • It should be universal, versatile.
  • It should tell the story of Stellar, be inclusive.
  • It should work as a currency symbol for Stellar Lumens.

According to these principles, a new cryptocurrency logo was introduced.

The task set by Stellar is ambitious enough — the project aims to become the currency standard. On March 11, the cost of cryptocurrency XLM increased by 15%, but gradually adjusted to the previous levels. On March 12 at 08:00 CET, XLM costs $ 0.098369 per unit, according to Coinmarketcap data.
