Shilling doesn’t trust Bitcoin, Novogratz does: recent statements

11 October 2017 21:00, UTC

Gary Shilling, who is the president of Gary Shilling & Co. and a financial forecaster, told in his recent dialogue with Business Insider that in his view, Bitcoin is not transparent, it’s a “black box”. And if it’s not transparent, it’s better not to invest in it. Understandable – the structure of Bitcoin internal network cannot be perceived immediately, especially if one worked only with fiat assets before.

Mike Novogratz, a billionaire investor, in turn, believes in Bitcoin so much that he predicts $10,000 value for one bitcoin in less than a year. He even told he already hears a herd of investors coming and went as far as to compare Bitcoin to gold. If Jamie Dimon is a radical skeptic of Bitcoin, this investor is a radical optimist: experts quite convincingly tell that gold is always better than any cryptocurrency just because of the simple fact it’s more palpable, it’s a physical asset, while cryptocurrency depends on the achievements of digital era. For example, if a country gets off the grid due to hacks of energy plants, so does its crypto market, while gold stays.
