New York-based advertising company Silvercast Media has confirmed that the viral Shiba Inu ad in Times Square was in fact fake. The media firm says this is just a rendering of a billboard located in the center of Manhattan.

The screen covers the entire city block on Broadway from 45th to 46th streets, attracting 1.5 mln viewers per day. A video allegedly showing a digital billboard advertising the Shiba Inu cryptocurrency in the middle of Times Square went viral on Twitter on Sunday.

Users of the popular freelance platform Fiverr have shown that this image can be easily rendered by anyone using the website's Gig features, which costs only $15.
