Saxo Bank: Bitcoin’s gonna grow to $100,000

16 January 2018 21:00, UTC

In his recent interview to CNBC, Kay Van-Petersen, Saxo Bank analyst, predicts the meteoric rise of Bitcoin due to the future increase of institutional investors. Bitcoin could hit $100,000 already this year, states Mr. Van-Petersen.

The full price effect of the futures contracts is yet to come, assures the analyst, referring to one of the most notable event connected with Bitcoin last year - Bitcoin futures.

The market has witnessed how institutional investors serve as a catalyst for the price of Bitcoin during the past autumn. Almost simultaneously with the launch of Bitcoin futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the Chicago Board Options Exchange, the growth speed of this cryptocurrency has increased and in the end, the cryptocurrency hit an absolute maximum of $20,000, a price previously unimaginable by financial experts.

Saxo Bank has already made a prognose on the price of Bitcoin, but this was a part of a “Shocking Prognoses” digest, while the prediction made by Kay Van-Petersen looks more serious. However, one should not forget that Kay Van-Petersen himself invested in cryptocurrency, and this means that he might not be interested in making pessimistic predictions.
