Bitcoin appeared during the financial crisis on October 31, 2008. Three years later, on December 12, 2012, Monero cryptocurrency technology was introduced. The whitepaper was written by Nicholas van Saberhagen, the unknown person similar to Satoshi Nakamoto. Today, historical research and text analysis shows that Satoshi Nakamoto and Nicholas van Saberhagen may have been the same person or a group of people.

According to the research, Monero could be developed by Satoshi as an improved version of Bitcoin. In the whitepaper called “CryptoNote 1.0,” Saberhagen defined Monero as a currency focused on privacy and empowerment.

Monero Outreach researchers believe that historical motives and scientific analysis of the Monero technical document provide strong evidence that Satoshi Nakamoto is Nicholas van Saberhagen. Researchers are of the opinion that Satoshi had enough time to see the flaws of Bitcoin before revising the algorithms when writing the Monero whitepaper.
