Ripple has joined the growing list of companies fighting the coronavirus epidemic. The blockchain giant announced a donation of $200,000 to the San Francisco-based nonprofit Tipping Point Community and Silicon Valley Community Foundation.

To mitigate the effects and spread of coronavirus, Ripple has become part of the trend of moving employees to remote work. Brad GARLINGHOUSE, CEO of Ripple, made it clear that the health and well-being of his team was a priority. Despite remote work of the team, Ripple continues to support its customers, as now more than ever there is a huge need for transferring funds around the world.

Also, it became known that Binance Charity, a blockchain-based donation platform of one of the leading crypto exchanges, recently launched the Crypto Against COVID campaign. The exchange began its activity in the fight against coronavirus with a donation of $1 mln. On March 12, the Italian Red Cross launched a campaign to raise funds in bitcoins to fight the virus. At the time of writing, it managed to raise more than $21,000, which exceeds the original goal of $10,000.
