Reddit to return Bitcoin payments, will also support Litecoin and Ethereum

In an interview to Cheddar, the representative of the popular social media website Reddit has announced the future reopening of Bitcoin payments option. According to Christopher Slowe, they will even add Litecoin and Ethereum, the support of which has never been activated on this website in the past:

Reddit has previously disabled Bitcoin payments due to problems with Coinbase services and when explaining the reasons of the measure, employees left no indication that this option is returning anytime soon. As witnessed from this news, the management of Reddit is slowly working towards solving this issue even though they did not announce the return immediately after the shutdown happened.

Cryptocurrency payments on Reddit were primarily made for premium services. This is not a wide range of options, but it would certainly not be unnecessary for still-developing digital currencies to be allowed to pay with on such a popular website. Future news on enabling Litecoin and Ethereum on Reddit may even drive up their prices. And while many have started to view Bitcoin as a store of value and therefore do not consider it a means of payment, Litecoin and Ethereum may serve as a viable alternative.
