Private Jets Are Being Sold For Bitcoins
Aviatrade, a private airplane sales agency, has launched a new payment platform that allows bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies to be used as payment for the aircraft. The Gulfstream G650ER is the first aircraft to be purchased with cryptocurrency and is already placed on the Aviatrade website.
The six-year-old plane, the flagship of Gulfstream, the largest aircraft in the model range of the American manufacturer, costs $40 mln or 3859 BTC. According to the President of Aviatrade, Philip RUSHTON, in some countries international restrictions on money transfers apply to cash payments. By using an alternative payment method for such an expensive purchase, buyers can save a lot.
Kaizen Aerospace, a company that sells, leases and manages private jets, also accepts Bitcoin to pay for all its services. The Bitpay blockchain payment service was involved in 15 transactions in which cryptocurrencies were used as payment for private jets. Thus, Aviatrade and Kaizen Aerospace were included in the list of firms that accept cryptocurrency as payment.
