Polygon Plans To Create DAO For DeFi

On August 19, the MATIC team announced that they want to create a DAO dedicated to the DeFi sector. The DAO's goal is to reach 100 mln users. In addition, Polygon aims to create multiple committees to foster collaboration and discussion between the various DeFi projects using Polygon.

The team suggested several ways to elect the committees. On the one hand, only MATIC members can be authorized to elect committees. On the other hand, it is also possible that all DAO token holders, that is, all protocol token holders using MATIC, will vote.

It's not just MATIC who is currently thinking about how decentralized governance should work in the future. Vitalik BUTERIN, the founder of Ethereum, recently wrote an article on his blog about decentralized governance. In doing so, he called for taking the management of DeFi protocols to the next level in order to unleash their full potential.
