Polygon Brings Web3 Functionality To Nothing's Smartphones

Polygon has announced a partnership with Nothing, creator of Nothing Phone (1). The Ethereum scaling protocol technology will be integrated into the Nothing smartphone. The partnership aims to bring cryptocurrencies and NFTs to a wider audience by giving such users access to Web3 features.

The phone maker will be airdropping non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to its community investors. The membership program, dubbed "Nothing Community Dots", will allow members to access exclusive community content. Some special perks include product discounts, participation in unique offline events, and more.

Also, Nothing Phone (1) users will be able to access online payments and future features such as a proof-based identification solution, Polygon ID. Polygon said the ultimate goal is to make all phone products and other devices in the Nothing ecosystem "future-ready" by backing sustainable and secure access to Web 3 apps.
