Pirates move to Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Classic devs support it too

12 November 2017 21:00, UTC

Recent Bitcoin Cash rush due to the cancellation of SegWit2x has influenced the financial policy of the Pirate Party in Sweden. Rick Falkvinge, founder of the party, tells he is going to rebuild the software he made for Bitcoin Cash. Additionally, he published a satirical “letter from Bitcoin Cash developers”, so the seriousness of his stated development intentions is in doubt.

When a bullish trend happens, famous people often share the overall optimistic sentiment — this is classic. Bitcoin Classic developers, by the way, decided to close the project and now promote Bitcoin Cash as well.

Those who have invested in Bitcoin when it was at its high - do not get all upset, as Bloomberg notes that plunges like these happened before and then the currency always grew back to initial values.

And another interesting fact — Bitcoin Cash, as it turns out, did not manage to hold achieved positions on Coinmarketcap, once again becoming the third most capitalized cryptocurrency after Bitcoin and Ethereum. At the peak of BCH hype, it briefly held the second place, which might have made some Ethereum holders feel nervous.

Just two days ago, an investor named Mark Yusko told that Bitcoin would reach $400,000 in the long term, being a disruptive and revolutionary financial technology. But Bitcoin does not exist in a vacuum, and as we clearly see from the last two days, its price can be influenced. This prediction is extremely optimistic and it is not necessarily the Bitcoin we know (BTC) will be a currency that will reach such extreme values.
