In this paper, the intentions of the regional economic alliance are straightforward: get every opportunity, including fintech achievements, to attract more tourists, as this is the primary means of revenue for the countries of the region.
The existence of the memorandum has been confirmed by the CEO of Bitt Inc who expressed his hopes for the future of this cooperation. Bitt Inc has previously been seen in good relations with large Overstock which invested $4M in this regional company based in Barbados.
Bitnewstoday has already described the possible opportunities of cryptocurrencies and blockchain in tourism. The sphere does not call for immediate implementation of the technology: some companies are experimenting and others are taking a wait-and-see approach. However, there are many kinds of tourist business where blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies could be adopted.
