NVIDIA head: blockchain is a “fundamental new form of computing”

Jen-Hsun “Jensen” Huang, chief executive of NVIDIA, has recently told the press that blockchain would stay longer than some may presume and confirmed its innovative nature, stating:

“Blockchain's going to be here for a long time and it's going to be a fundamental new form of computing.”

The businessman with a wide view of the technological sector around the world also stated that the opportunities provided by digital currencies - low cost value exchange - would also not be forgotten. Jensen Huang also connects the popularity of cryptocurrency and mining by calling the products of NVIDIA “the world's largest installed base of distributed supercomputing.”

This does not mean that NVIDIA would switch its priorities to the new market: the leader of the said company told that gaming and professional market (possibly referring to 3D effects creators) were still more important. The upcoming market of autonomous devices is also more interesting for NVIDIA.

Meanwhile, Corsair, the manufacturer of the NVIDIA graphics cards (various firms can do that, there is no monopoly) is offering to buy out some more GPUs than usual to “save” them from miners. They have become a big problem for gamers due to the leviathan demand of those who want to get more cryptocurrency.
