New puzzle video game will offer the first solver a Bitcoin
A new computer game will soon be released on Steam, and the one who beats it first will get a Bitcoin, or $9901 at the press time.
The game is a first-person quest with 24 puzzles called Montecrypto: The Bitcoin Enigma, and judging by the screenshots and trailers, it looks similar to many other games of that genre - mysterious mansion corridors reminding of Layers of Fear, strange machines, and a seemingly usual bedroom as if extracted directly from Hello Neighbor. If it wasn’t for this promotional trick, the game would not have deserved such attention from the media.
Another interesting detail here is that the team of developers decided to stay anonymous for some reason, quite possibly, to raise additional interest. The planned release date is 20 February 2018.
This is not the first time when the interest of the public towards a relatively mundane process or object is revitalized through cryptocurrency means. Recently a news website has decided to offer its users a deal - no advertisement in exchange for in-browser mining, which has certainly lead to the increase of its popularity.
