The Blockchain Association, a cryptocurrency advocacy group, expanded its board on Tuesday. Kraken, The Stellar Foundation and 0x have joined the association as board members. The main focus of the expansion was on Decentralized Finance (DeFi), which are currently the favorites in the crypto space. Another key area of the association's activities is the regulatory framework.

To accommodate new members and diversify representation on the board, the total number of seats was increased from 9 to 10. The Board of the Blockchain Association, which has nine members, has vacated two seats in the past three months. Anchorage and Coinbase have left the association. The 10th seat was made by the association itself to provide a more diverse representation.

Stellar General Counsel Candace Kelly, Kraken General Counsel Marco Suntory, and 0x Senior Legal Counsel Jason Somensatto will represent their organizations on the Board of the Blockchain Association.
