Most US BTC investors think Bitcoin will have the largest market cap in 5 years
LendEDU, the online loan refinancing platform, has provided the media outlets with additional results of that survey they have made about cryptocurrency. As Bitnewstoday should remind here, in the previous news dedicated for this survey, we have witnessed an overwhelmingly positive reception of cryptocurrency in America, although the number of cryptocurrency-related financial complaints has also increased.
Now, thanks to the newly-released part of the survey, we know that 51.60% of those who invested in Bitcoin have also invested in other cryptocurrencies, almost the same number (49.49% of interviewed) would rather use exchange traded funds, and 42.55% would prefer owning Bitcoin through a futures platform similar to the one Terry Duffy is now actively developing. Half of the interviewed also believes that increased presence of financial organizations will affect the price of Bitcoin in a good way.
However, Americans are much more unsure about how to classify Bitcoin. Just 31.56% of Bitcoin investors believe Bitcoin should be classified as a commodity, 39.54% believe it should be classified as a security, 28.90% unsure, possibly thinking it’s better to let professionals decide how to classify BTC.
And, lastly, an overwhelming majority of those interviewed (84.40%) think that Bitcoin will have the largest market capitalization in five years. Their belief is almost certainly based on the current skyrocketing, with Bitcoin already briefly touching $10,000 on Gatecoin before becoming widely traded for this price. Would be interesting to ask them again if the currency suddenly drops.
