Lightning Network beta launched
In some cases, the popular but not yet finished Lightning Network protocol can serve as alternative to how some current Bitcoin internal operations are being conducted, and the announcement made by its developers during the second half of the last week tells that now everyone familiar with coding can assess the beta version they have released.
“Note that this release is intended for developers of future Lightning applications (Lapps) along with technical users and prospective routing node operators,” developers say.
Their team is backed by the former chief operating officer of PayPal and by Jack Dorsey, co-founder and CEO of Twitter, together with Charlie Lee who created Litecoin, one of the most popular cryptocurrencies which can often be found as an available one in Bitcoin ATMs around the world. By the way, Lightning Network is also available for Litecoin:

Lightning Network, as described by most major cryptocurrency and finance-related media sources, will improve transactions of Bitcoin and will open up new possibilities for Bitcoin payments. The old fork (upgrade) called CSV has also made it possible for Bitcoin to be used in payments for the time the user spent viewing a certain video film or stream.
