Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), a popular chain of fast food restaurants, is launching a pilot project to introduce a blockchain to track advertising campaigns and increase their efficiency through the real-time data transparency - so far in the Middle East.

Within the pilot project it is planned to evaluate the effectiveness of the technology. The company hopes that the blockchain will help solve advertising fraud problems, which will be useful for both advertisers and customers. By means of blockchain, it is expected to increase brand perception and track how digital advertising will affect the company's profit.

Many restaurants, pizzerias and cafes chains are interested in adapting modern technology. For example, McDonald’s, Subway and Starbucks are expected to participate in CBDC testing in China. Earlier in 2018, KFC in Canada held an advertising campaign in which it was proposed to buy a chicken bucket for bitcoins. To receive bitcoin payments, the BitPay service was used.
