IOTA (MIOTA) DID Will Be Integrated with Yallvend Vending Equipment

BiiLabs, a startup specializing in Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) solutions, has announced a partnership with Yallvend, a vending equipment manufacturer. The project involves the introduction of decentralized identifiers (DIDs) to make identity recognition safer and more reliable.

Currently, vending machines can sell tobacco and alcohol, products prohibited for minors. Although access is required to verify your identity, circumventing machine safety is easy. Given the high cost, most machines do not have an age verification function. Yallvend is updating vending machines by integrating its mobile payment system with BiiLabs authentication system. This solution allows you to use your smartphone to buy goods, as well as to verify identity. In addition, it can be implemented without changing existing vending machine systems.

Integration of IOTA Tangle into authentication and data management systems guarantees a secure and reliable ID verification compatible with any country. This is beneficial for manufacturers because it allows them to innovate in existing equipment. IOTA has already been used in such experiments, previously it was used as a payment method for all games and applications supported by Unity.
