Input Output's Atala Prism Is Recognized One Of The Most Influential Projects Of 2021 by PMI
The Project Management Institute (PMI), a Pennsylvania-based organization of project and product management experts, has named Atala Prism, an Input Output's Identity Management solution, as one of this year's most influential projects. The company behind the Cardano protocol announced that it has partnered with the Ethiopian Minister of Education to develop a blockchain-based system aimed at monitoring student performance in local schools.
The project, which Input Output has described as “the biggest blockchain deployment,” is expected to launch in early 2022. The aim is to improve the efficiency of education and ensure social mobility of students living in poor rural areas.
Atala Prism can also be used to integrate learning management systems to help students with homework, according to John O'CONNOR, Input Output's director of African operations. Atala Prism was ranked 14th among the most influential projects of the year. In fourth place was the Sand Dollar, the world's first central bank digital currency issued in the Bahamas.
